Smart devices for every home

You can choose the water protection devices that fit your specific needs. This isn't a comprehensive review, but it may point you in the right direction.

Smart point-of-leak sensors

These products are designed to detect water wherever they’re placed. A notification is pushed to your smart device through an app, alerting you that water has been detected, which sensor is reporting, and that action should be taken. Typically placed near plumbing fixtures and appliances, like water heaters, washing machines, sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers.

Smart whole-house water monitors

These monitors are installed in one location in the house. Using vibration, sound detection, and ultrasonic pulses, they’re designed to measure how much water is being used (in some cases, by which fixture) and detect inconsistencies. Usage patterns are generally shown on a dashboard that notifies you of a potential leak and helps you identify ways to conserve and potentially save money.

Smart auto shutoff devices

These devices are installed at a home’s main valve. When paired with a leak detector or by recognizing irregularities, the house’s main water supply can be shut off automatically, long before leaks become disasters. Because these devices are designed to do more than simply alert homeowners to a problem, policy premium discounts could be greater.
